A large scene was put in place with an air ambulance also called after emergency crews rushed to an incident on Sunday (April 12). An area was cordoned off at the junction of Broadway and Eaves Lane in Oldham with multiple police vehicles and ambulances at the scene.
Videos and pictures shared on social media showed a large emergency response with police tape stretching over the busy junction in Chadderton.
It followed a medical episode outside the Sportsmans Arms pub along Eaves Lane. It is thought to have involved a man in his 70s who was rushed to hospital from the scene.

It’s understood a large cordon was put in place due to the amount of people gathering at the scene. The incident occurred at around 4.20pm.

The area was closed off near the BP garage, with an air ambulance helicopter also scrambled to the scene and landing beside the road.
No further details have been confirmed. The North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) have been approached for a statement.
