A fifth person has been arrested in connection with the death of a man, which is being investigated as a ‘murder’ with three including a man from Birmingham and womand an boy charged with the offence

A woman from Solihull is the fifth person to be arrested in connection with eh death of a man in Warwickshire.
West Midlands Ambulance Service and Warwickshire Police officers attended Chestnut Avenue in Kenilworth just before midnight on Friday, March 20 after reports of concern for a man’s welfare.
Paramedics attended the scene but sadly nothing could be done to save Carl Stephens, 45.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambalance Service said: “We were called to an incident on Chestnut Avenue in Kenilworth at 11.39pm on Friday, March 10 and sent three ambulances and a paramedic officer to the scene.
“On arrival, crews found a man in a critical condition and immediately began administering advanced life support.
“Sadly, despite best efforts, nothing could be done to save him, and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
“A second man was found in a serious condition and treated before being conveyed under emergency driving conditions to hospital.”

Warwickshire Police launched a murder investigation and have arrested and charged a man from Birmingham and a woman and boy from Kenilworth with murder.
Lewis Dowling, 24, of Yarnfield Road, in Acocks Green, Patricia Dowling, 49, of Chestnut Avenue, Kenilworth and a 16-year-old boy from Kenilworth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were all charged with murder.
A 72-year-old woman previously arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been bailed pending further enquiries.
And now a 51-year-old woman from Solihull arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice has been bailed until June.
The three charged with murder are set to appear at Warwick Crown Court on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

Carl’s family have previously paid tribute to him and said: “We are deeply saddened to be writing that Carl’s life has been taken in the most tragic way.
“Our family is completely devastated by this and will be forever heartbroken.
“We would like to take a moment to sincerely thank our community for the love, compassion and support that has been shown to us, and sharing in our grief, it means more than words can express.
“During this incredibly difficult time, we kindly ask for privacy while we come to terms with what has happened.”
