A masked man stormed into a house and broke another man’s jaw. At around 9am on Thursday, March 12 it was reported a man wearing a balaclava entered a house on Carr Lane in Croxteth then punched and kicked a man working at the address multiple times in the face.
The victim sustained a broken jaw and was taken to hospital, in what police described as an “unprovoked attack”. Extensive enquiries have been carried out and police are now appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
Detective Constable Daniel Zwaagstra said: “This was a nasty and unprovoked assault to the victim who was going about his duties and minding his own business.
“The victim needed surgery for this serious injury, and I appeal for anyone who has information, no matter how small, will help with our enquiries.
“I urge residents to please check your CCTV, doorbell and dashcam footage for that morning (Thursday, March 12) to see if it has captured anything which will help the investigation.
“It may be that your evidence however small, may help us bring the perpetrator to justice.”
