An investigation has been launched after a man was left seriously injured in a suspected hit-and-run.
The victim is believed to have been struck by a vehicle which then left the scene on Slade Road, Stockland Green, just after 6am on Sunday (April 12).
He was treated by paramedics before being being taken to Heartlands Hospital where his condition is said to be “serious.”

West Midlands Police are trying to piece together what happened and are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with dashcam to contact them urgently.

West Midlands Police said: “We’re investigating after a man was found with injuries in Slade Road, Stockland Green, at just after 6am on Sunday (12 April).
“It’s understood he was hit by a car which left the scene.
“The man is currently in a serious condition in hospital and we’re continuing our enquiries to establish exactly what happened.”
A spokeswoman from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to Slade Road, Stockland Green at 6.01am on Sunday to reports of a pedestrian who had been involved in a collision with a car.
“One ambulance attended the scene and assessed a man who had sustained potentially serious injuries in the collision.
“He was conveyed to Heartlands Hospital for further care.”
