Rhian Wilkinson’s side were back at the SToK Cae Ras for their clash with Albania and it was a thumping 4-0 triumph for the home side.
Just a quarter-of-an-hour had gone when Wales got their noses in front.
Hannah Cain was on hand to grab the opener from Mared Griffiths’ cross.
Griffiths fired over as Wales continued to have the upper hand and it was 2-0 with 10 minutes of the first half remaining.
Albania keeper Rajmonda Spahiu failed to gather Cain’s cross and Elise Hughes was in the right place to score.
Wales had dominated that first 45 minutes and they were looking for more of the same after the interval.
Just three minutes after the restart, Wrexham fan Rhiannon Roberts grabbed the next goal.
Griffiths once more came up with the assist and her cross was headed in by Roberts at the far post.
Wales then had their fourth goal in the 55th minute and it was Cain at the double.
Lily Woodham supplied the cross and a fine Cain finish made it 4-0.
More good work later on from Griffiths helped set up another chance for Cain, but her effort went wide of the target.
Wales are level at the top of the group with the Czech Republic, who beat Montenegro 5-0.
This Saturday, Wales head to Albania for the return encounter.
