Dubai-based crime lord ‘wreaking havoc’ on Edinburgh unmasked by rivals

  • 10 May 2025

A Dubai-based kingpin who is understood to be ruling over the ‘havoc’ across Edinburgh has been unmasked by gangland rivals.

Sources have said the violence in the country, which began in Edinburgh and spread to Glasgow, could reach ‘a whole new level’. This comes after he was unmasked on an Instagram account, reports the Daily Record.

The page, which is understood to be run by associates of mob boss Mark Richardson, shared his passport photo with another image.

It comes as enemies claim Big “ran away screaming” after a chance encounter on a street in the United Arab Emirates city. But close associates of the Dubai player say mocking him is a dangerous error and he will retaliate with the force of his army behind him.

One said: “Richardson’s mob and the Daniel clan crossed the line this week by creating a social media account to picture and mock Mr Big.

“The chat about him running away from their associates in Dubai isn’t true at all. He was walking down the street on his way to meet a pal in a pub when he noticed three guys he doesn’t get on with, but it is unrelated to the gang feud in Scotland.

“Big ran into the pub to get his pal and they all stood outside the bar arguing for about 20 minutes, but nothing serious happened. The Scotland-based gangsters have heard about this and now they’re trying to take credit because they haven’t been able to retaliate against his attacks on them so far.

“But there are hundreds of people behind Mr Big and mocking him will take this war to a new level.”

Photos on the account, which the Record has to blur for legal reasons, show Mr Big in a grainy passport shot, captioned: “Biggest sh**ebag out there. Wait till the lads get you.”

A second image showing the hood wearing sunglasses reads: “Remember the heat you’ve brought on all the other people in Dubai cause you’re a sh**ebag.”

A third post, accompanied with laughing face emojis, says: “Biggest sh**ebag out there with money. Were you not screaming for your life last week and running away?”

Mr Big’s enforcers, a faceless and frightening group going by the name of Tamo Junto (TMJ), have carried out a serious of firebombings and other vicious attacks on homes, businesses and cars linked to both the Edinburgh and Glasgow clans runs by Richardson and Daniels in a row over drugs that erupted two months ago.

Two posts on the Instagram page, threatening to strike back, read: “Karma is a b***h” and “I don’t like to call it revenge, returning the favour sounds nicer.”

But so far, both mob bosses in Scotland have been helpless to defend themselves as Big wages his violent war across both cities destroying their assets and their empires.

TMJ regularly share videos of their hits, showing infernos and shootings, as they vow to “exterminate the Richardson and Daniel viruses”.
