A man has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a car in Prescot. At around 10.05am emergency services were called to the junction of High Street and Hope Street in Prescot after a man, in his 60s, was hit by a Hyundai.

Merseyside Police said the man has been taken to hospital to be assessed. The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting police with enquiries.
