Leeds United have done our chances of survival a huge boost with victory over Manchester United, and Gary Neville believes it sees us safe.
This week has taken a huge swing in Leeds’ favour in the right to avoid Premier League relegation. That came thanks to our stunning 2-1 win at Old Trafford on Monday.
The job is far from done for Leeds. But, a home clash with Wolves on Saturday gives us a prime opportunity to move nine clear of Spurs before they play later in the evening.

Tuning into the latest Stick To Football was enjoyable this morning. Listening to three Man Utd legends dissecting Leeds’ masterclass at Old Trafford was music to my ears.
Such a statement from Daniel Farke’s men over the Pennines has clearly made neutrals sit up and take notice. Not only was it an emphatic win on the road, but it leaves us six clear of the drop, with four games against sides below us still to play.
Gary Neville and Roy Keane were in agreement that Leeds’ win at Man Utd leaves us almost assured of safety, as Keane still thinks Spurs have what it takes to stay up.
“Who is going down then, if they’re [Spurs] staying up? Because Leeds are not going down now,” Neville asked.
“I think one of them [Forest or West Ham] will go down instead,” Keane answered. “The European games can be a distraction for Forest. If they get through against Porto [playing tonight], different challenges and demands.”

The confidence many Leeds fans have had over survival in this run-in has been our favourable fixtures.
In our toughest remaining game, we picked up a surprising three points away at Old Trafford. Now, we’ve got to play the two worst sides in the league at Elland Road. Even four points from those two games is likely enough to ensure we’re safe (40 points).
That said, Farke will be under no illusions that the job still isn’t finished. We need to professionally manage these expected wins at home, getting the job done with early goals and full focus.
However, you can see how quickly the narrative has shifted thanks to our win away at Man Utd.
