A new picture of drug mule influencer Ellie Crampsie has emerged – posing up in Thailand just days before she attempted to smuggle £150,000 of cannabis through Edinburgh Airport.
Crampsie, 23, is snapped standing on a Bangkok rooftop bar in front of the city’s Mercure Hotel wearing a white top and skirt and carrying a gold shoulder bag. The image was posted on the glam social media influencer’s Instagram page on April 11 last year – five days before she flew home from the Asian country with the drug consignment in her luggage.
The striking pic from the exotic location has the message “I wanna stay here forever” typed out underneath. Several more unseen pictures – including one celebrating her 21st birthday – taken at her family home in Broomhouse, Glasgow, have also been unearthed.
Crampsie was stopped by Border Force officials with several vacuum packages of cannabis stuffed into a suitcase at Edinburgh Airport on April 16 last year. She pled guilty to the offence during a hearing at the capital city’s sheriff court in March and is due to return to the dock for sentencing later this month.

Crampsie was subsequently forced to set her social media accounts to private that had featured photos of her promoting tanning brands and music events along with holiday snaps.
Last month the court was told Crampsie flew into the Scottish capital on an Air France flight from Thailand via Paris and was stopped by custom officers. Her luggage was searched and was found to contain 17 sealed packages containing 17.7kg of cannabis.
Prosecutor Emma Laing said the total value of the drugs was estimated at between £115,000 and £151,000.
