Bristol’s best fried chicken can be found at Wing’s Diner on King Street, our readers said. This was followed by Gurt Wings on Cargo.

However, it was fewer than 50 votes that separated both venues – with Wing’s Diner receiving 1,195 votes and Gurt Wings having 1,146.

Another one said: “Food was literally a 10/10… I had the BEST loaded fries, NO JOKE, in my lifetime. The portions are HUGE and for the price was a massive deal.

“Well flavoured, me and my partner will definitely be returning and recommend to anyone who loves a spicy touch. Atmosphere great and service was swift. Thank you.”
