A man died after being found on a Liverpool city centre street in the early hours of Saturday morning. At around 4.35am today (May 10), North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) reported that a man in his 20s was found on Old Hall Street in Liverpool city centre.
He was taken to hospital where he died a short time later. Merseyside Police remain at the scene this morning and a cordon is in place near to the entrance of the passport office.
His death is unexplained but is not initially believed to be suspicious. The ECHO understands the passport office is open as normal, with people able to access the entrance away from the cordon.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson told the ECHO: “We can confirm that officers are in Liverpool city centre following the unexplained death of a man in the early hours of this morning, Saturday, May 10.
“At around 4.35am, NWAS reported a man in his 20s being found in the street on Old Hall Street. He was taken to hospital where he sadly died a short time later.
“Officers remain in the scene carrying out enquiries into the circumstances, which are not initially believed to be suspicious.”
