Former Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood is reportedly attracting interest from the Premier League ahead of the summer transfer window.
Greenwood left United last summer to join Marseille for £26.6millon and has enjoyed a stellar first season in France. The 23-year-old has scored 19 goals in 34 appearances, with only Ousmane Dembele bettering his goal tally.
After appearing to be undroppable by Roberto De Zerbi’s men earlier in the season, Greenwood has been involved in a number of incidents that have sparked doubts over whether he will stay with Les Phoceens for next season.
Criticism of his work rate from supporters and then attitude by De Zerbi have seen reports link him with a move away. Saudi Pro League clubs have been keen, while Barcelona have been credited with interest previously.
A move to Italy or Spain are understood to be likely for Greenwood, but according to The Telegraph, those close to the striker have speculated that there is growing interest from Premier League clubs.
The report adds that the former United academy graduate is ‘pining’ for a return to the north of England, with reports in France claiming at least two Premier League clubs are considering a move.
