Three people have been “seriously” injured and four arrests after a collision involving multiple cars in Shirley.
All of the emergency services were called to Stratford Road just after 10pm on Saturday after three vehicles crashed into each other.
Paramedics treated a 41-year-old woman and two men aged 38 and 22, for potentially serious injuries before they were taken to hospital where they remain today.
West Midlands Police arrested two men aged 23 and 22 on suspicion of dangerous driving.
A man aged 18 and a 17-year-old boy were also detained on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.

WMP said: “We’ve arrested two men aged 23 and 22 on suspicion of dangerous driving following a serious collision involving three vehicles in Solihull.
“We were called to the Stratford Road shortly after 10pm last night (Sat).
“A woman, aged 41 and two men, aged 38 and 22, were taken to hospital for treatment for potentially serious injuries and remain in hospital today (Sun).
“The 22-year-old remains in hospital receiving treatment while a 23-year-old man was taken to custody as we carry out further enquiries.
“We also arrested an 18-year-old man and 17-year-old boy on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.”
West Midlands Fire Service sent three crews to the incident at 10.15pm and left the scene at 11.30pm in the care of the police.
Councillor Prish Sharma said: “Another nasty crash on A34 in Shirley.
“Why aren’t there speed cameras there in the residential / commercial areas ? I have been lobbying Solihull Council since last two years.
“Surely the cost of speed calming things such as cameras that work will out way the cost of the amount of emergency services used last night and the ongoing work the NHS will cost to tend to the injured plus the huge bill for fixing the infrastructure around the vast crash area left last night.
“From the motorway junction through Hall Green the A34 needs to looked at with serious intentions of preventing this idiotic activity.”
