Tram services between Bury and Crumpsall have been stopped due to a overhead line issue this afternoon.

Tickets are being accepted on designated buses following the disruption on Tuesday (April 21). According to Inrix, the issue stems from an overhead line problem in Bury and points failure in Whitefield.

The incident was first reported at around 5pm. The affected tram stops are Bury, Radcliffe, Besses o’th’ Barn, Prestwich, Bowker Vale, Crumpsall, Abraham Moss, Queens Road and Victoria Station.

Ticket acceptance is in place on these buses: 17, 41, 52, 53, 66, 90, 95, 97, 98, 112, 117, 118, 119, 135, 156, 163, 248 and 524. Simply show the driver your Metrolink ticket or pass when boarding.

Inrix says: “No service on Manchester Metrolink between Bury and Crumpsall due to overhead line problems at Bury and points failure at Whitefield.”
