A multi-agency search operation has been launched for a missing swimmer off the Co Donegal coast.
A member of the public raised the alarm shortly before 4pm on Saturday that there were people in difficulty in the water near Buncrana.
One person was taken from the water and brought to hospital by ambulance during the incident believed to involve three young men.
One swimmer is still missing, authorities said.
The search is being led by the Irish Coast Guard, supported by a Coast Guard helicopter from Sligo.
The Donegal North units of An Garda Siochana and the ambulance service are also at the scene.

The RNLI said they were also supporting the search.
“Malin Head Coast Guard are co-ordinating a search for a missing swimmer off Buncrana, Co Donegal,” a spokeswoman for the Department of Transport said.
“An alert was raised shortly before 4pm by a member of the public who reported that there were a number of persons in difficulty in the water.
“Greencastle & Mulroy Coast Guard Units were tasked along with both Lough Swilly RNLI lifeboats and the Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 118 from Sligo.
“One person has been taken from the water and brought to Letterkenny hospital by an HSE ambulance. Their condition is unknown.
“A search remains ongoing in the area for another missing swimmer.”
