One person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision between a van and a motorcycle in Co Down.
The emergency services were called to the incident on Newcastle Road, Downpatrick, at 10.51am on Thursday, April 23, with the police, ambulance and air ambulance attending the scene.
The road was closed by police for a number of hours following the collision before reopening.

The motorcyclist was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken by ambulance to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast with injuries that are serious but not believed to be life-threatening at this time.
A PSNI spokepserson said: “Police received a report of a collision between a van and a motorbike on Newcastle Road, Downpatrick, at 10.55am on Thursday 23rd April.
“The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.
“The road was closed for a time but has since reopened.
“Police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have relevant dashcam footage, to contact officers on 101 quoting ref 460 23/04/26.”
A NIAS spokesperson said: “The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 10:51 on Thursday, 23rd April, following reports of an RTC in the Newcastle Road area, Downpatrick.
“NIAS dispatched 1 Emergency Ambulance and the charity Air Ambulance with HEMS on board, to the scene.
“Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, 1 person was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast by Ambulance.”
