The Liverpool branch has seen multiple concessions close this year

Primark has confirmed a big change to its Liverpool city centre branch. The retailer has closed its in-store nail salon which previously appeared on the first floor of the Church Street branch Primark has confirmed that the nail bar, which first disappeared from stores in February, does not have plans of returning with the store currently using the space to house more womenswear instead.
Before its closure the nail bar could be found near the beauty department. The nail bar was ran as an independent concession within the store by Nails UK. It offered gel and acrylic manicures.
Primark said that the closure of various concessions will be taking place in the coming year as the retailer reassesses its use of store space.
A Primark spokesperson said: “We know how important our stores are to our customers and we’re constantly reviewing them to ensure we provide the best shopping experience. As we’ve expanded our own product offering, we are adapting our spaces so that each store is best set up to cater to local customer preferences.

“As part of this, we have been reviewing our in-store concessions and considering how we maximise and best use the space we have in our stores. Over the next 12 months customers will start to see the closure of some concessions. These decisions are being informed by the size and location of each store.
“We’re committed to working with our valued partners to manage this process with care and transparency, supporting them throughout.”
Liverpool’s Primark store closed another independently operated concession, WornWell, earlier this year.
WornWell launched in 2022 as a partnership with the Vintage Wholesale Company, with its flagship store opening on Birmingham High Street. The Vintage Wholesale Company supplies high-quality pre-owned clothing across the UK and Europe, sourcing garments from around the world.

In June 2023, WornWell expanded with the opening of a store inside Primark Liverpool, following a £3 million extension of the site.
The redevelopment increased the store’s total size to more than 94,000 square feet across five floors, relocated Primark’s Home department from a small top-floor section to a dedicated space on the ground floor, and introduced a Tasty by Greggs café on the second floor.
The concession, which was located in the men’s section on the lower ground floor, is now closed.
The Greggs café can still be found on the second floor.
