The Ibrox icon was less than pleased with the display by the under-performing Ibrox stars
John Brown conducts the half-time draw at Ibrox
Furious John Brown unleashed a half-time Ibrox reality check on the Rangers players – but it appears it didn’t make it to the home dressing room.
The Steelmen left Ibrox stunned as they took a massive three Premiership points off of Danny Rohl’s title hopefuls in a 3-2 loss to The Steelmen.
Rangers fought back from being 2-0 down to Jens Berthel Askou’s side in Govan to level at 2-2 – but club legend Brown was less than pleased with the attitude of the players as they trailed by two goals at the break.
Before conducting the half time draw, Brown said: “It’s a massive frustration. Any Rangers team has to show energy and get right in their faces, and we have got to show that in second half.
“Danny has got a big job there. To be given the chance to win your game and go onto win a league, we need more than that performance.”
Rohl would ring the changes at the break – and Brown was convinced that improvements had to be made with some specific instructions to the struggling stars.
He said: “Some boys are just not tracking runners. There is enough on the bench to have an impact and take the game to Motherwell’s defence.”
In injury time, Longolo would NOT be tracked by the Rangers’ defence as he found space in the box to deal a hammer blow to the club’s title ambitions.
Boss Rohl has insisted it won’t be a fatal blow in the league flag race but admits they now face a mammoth clash with Hearts at Tynecastle just to keep themselves in the hunt.
