Bakery giant Krispy Kreme have announced that they will be finally rolling out their much coveted Pistachio Overload Doughnut in the UK, after the treat was exclusively launched in Australia last month.
The news comes after a number of baked goods lovers took to social media in February to demand that the doughnut also be launched in the UK, with one fan even suggesting starting a ‘petition’ to get the tasty treat brought over to the country.
Krispy Kreme caused waves on social media, after posting the new nutty topped doughnut, with a white chocolate drizzle and oozing pistachio centre, on its Australian Instagram page in February.
Since then, the pistachio doughnut has turned British fans fully green-eyed after it received raving reviews from Aussies who had already managed to get their hands on the highly sought after treat.

Writing on Krispy Kreme Australia’s Instagram page, one Aussie described the new treat as “by far the best doughnut” that they had ever tasted. Another warned: “Careful guys it’s addictive.”
But, calls for a UK launch of the treat have now been finally answered, as Krispy Kreme will today, 11 May, roll out their Pistachio Overload Doughnut to seven Manchester shops, including stores in Manchester Arndale and the Trafford Centre.
Manchester will be home to the highly awaited doughnut, which features a pistachio cream centre from award winning Manchester based dessert brand BLACK MILK, for one day before being rolled out to stores across the UK and Ireland from 12 May.

Tesco shoppers will then also be able to get their hands on the treat by heading into the supermarket’s stores from the later date of 19 May.
But while UK fans have had to wait over a month to try the baked goods themselves, shoppers will need to act fast to get their hands on the elusive treat as it will only be available in stores up until the 25 May.
The Pistachio Overload Doughnut will be available in UK stores for the price of £3.49, while reward members can get an additional £1 discount off the treat.
