The 2020 coin, nicknamed the ‘Brexit 50p,’ is being sold for £5,100 or the best offer, with free collection available from Barrow or delivery priced at £9.95 for buyers who do not want to collect in person.

The coin is described as a “rare 50p coin” featuring the “theme of peace and prosperity,” issued during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.

The seller calls it a collectible item “emblematic of the United Kingdom’s history and values”.

The coin shows the inscription “Peace, prosperity and friendship with all nations” along with the date ’31 January 2020′ – the day the UK formally left the European Union.

The Royal Mint says the coin “marks a significant moment in British history, celebrating the end of the UK’s 47-year membership in the EU.”

The coin was designed by The Royal Mint Engraving Team, and features the last coinage portrait of Elizabeth II on the obverse.
