Manchester United celebrated win number 17 of the Premier League season on Monday night at Old Trafford, and fans have now been voting for who they think was the man of the match.

It was another strong night for Michael Carrick under the Old Trafford lights, with Manchester United claiming a 2-1 victory over Brentford to solidify third place.

The result means United are two points from guaranteed Champions League football next season, with a win against Liverpool this weekend enough to get over the line.

It was a game of two halves, with United changing to a back five when 2-0 up at the break, which saw Brentford have the better of the second half.

But now, fans on TalkingPoints have been voting for their man of the match.

Fans were voting on TalkingPoints for their player of the match, with the vote being closely contested between the midfield two.

Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro were both excellent, but only one could win the poll.

Just three per cent separated Mainoo and Casemiro, with the fans just nudging the vote in favour of the number 37 as he continued his incredible resurgence in 2026.

Mainoo is proving himself to be world-class this year, and his performances are nailing down his place as a starter and a spot on the England national team plane to the USA.

Gary Neville hailed Mainoo after the game, and fans recognised his brilliance.

How would you rate Kobbie Mainoo’s performance vs Brentford out of 10 ???

Unlike the TalkingPoints vote, which was tightly contested, the official poll had a clearer-cut winner.

The vote on the official United website was pretty unanimous.

With over half the vote, it was the Brazilian who won the crown, while he was also picked as the official winner by the Premier League.

United fans loved Casemiro’s performance, and this result is no surprise considering just how good he was.

One more year?
