David Stark, a Belsize Park author, drummer, and music executive, spoke about his encounters with The Beatles, while singer Susan Black performed a selection of their songs.
The evening was hosted by actor and theatre proprietor Steve Furst, best known for his appearances in Little Britain and cabaret alter ego Lenny Beige.
The evening was also dedicated to Godfrey Old, partner of Leonie Scott-Matthews, who ran the former Pentameters theatre at the pub until last autumn.
Godfrey had guested at one of David’s previous talks there in 2021, performing an avant-garde version of the Beatles’ Sgt Pepper closing track A Day In The Life in his own inimitable style. Sadly Godrey passed away suddenly on Saturday
