A Wolverhampton shop was raided by police and the council today as suspected ‘drug dealing links’ were investigated.
The Lichfield Street premises, located in the city centre, was searched by West Midlands Police and Wolverhampton council today, April 29.
Illegal drugs, including cannabis edibles and vapes, were uncovered as the warrant was executed, according to the force. Officers also found suspected counterfeit items.

Two men, aged 20 and 43, have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs. Both were in custody for questioning on Wednesday night.
Police said: “We acted on information about suspected drug dealing linked to the premises in Lichfield Street and worked with Trading Standards to carry out a raid.
“Searches were carried out with the help of a sniffer dog and a range of illegal drugs, including cannabis edibles and cannabis vapes were seized. A number of suspected counterfeit items were also found.”
West Midlands Police said it came as part of “regular action to tackle dealing” in Wolverhampton and across the West Midlands.
The force said: “We won’t tolerate illegal activities and we’re often involved in warrants alongside Trading Standards, HMRC and other agencies, in response to information we receive about drug sales, anti-social behaviour, and crime and disorder.
“If there’s evidence of criminal activity, or links to organised crime, then we will always look to secure charges and seek closure orders on premises.
