Detectives have released new images showing two potential key witnesses as a man continues to fight for his life after being attacked in the street.
Officers are investigating a serious assault which took place shortly after midnight on Wednesday (May 7) on Dantzic Street, in the NOMA area of Manchester city centre.
Greater Manchester Police says a man in his 30s received serious, life-threatening injuries, and remains in a critical condition in hospital today (Sunday).
The force has now released more CCTV images showing a man and a woman they believe could have important information to assist detectives with their enquiries.
The pair, along with any other witnesses, are being urged to come forward as soon as possible.
Detective Inspector Mark Astbury, from GMP’s City of Manchester district, said: “We are continuing to investigate a serious assault which has left a man in critical condition in hospital.
