Fresh plans to build a McDonalds drive-thru restaurant in Stanningley have been submitted to Leeds City Council.
Permission to build the fast food restaurant was approved in principle by the council last October, with local opinion split on the proposals. 56 letters were received in support, and 57 objecting.
Fresh plans submitted this week include a revised car park layout.
A planning statement submitted with the application states: “Following further discussions between McDonald’s and the landowner, the proposals have been revised.
“The size, position and general layout of the McDonald’s building is unchanged. The layout of the car park has been amended, and this application has a revised ‘red line’ boundary.
“Overall, the proposed development is not materially different from that which has recently been granted planning permission.”
The statement says the application site now incorporates additional land to the north, while the site’s eastern boundary has been brought in. It adds: “While the broad orientations of the car parking and drive-thru lane are the same, and the number of car parking spaces remains at 34 as per the approved scheme, the layout has been [changed] to reflect the revised site layout.”
The plans can be viewed in full here.
