Emergency services are at the scene of an ongoing water rescue incident this afternoon.
Police were called to the Lough Neagh area on Thursday afternoon, April 30, following a report of a person “believed to be in the water”. Reports have stated that the person is believed to be a missing jet-skier.
Officers and HM Coastguard are currently at the scene. Helicopters are scouring the area as part of the search and rescue effort.
A PSNI spokesman said: “Police received a report of a person believed to be in the water in the Derryola Bridge Road area of Craigavon at approximately 1.20pm today, Thursday April 30.
“Officers are currently in attendance alongside colleagues from HM Coastguard and the public are advised to avoid the area at this time. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 802.”
