Blain caused her 19-day-old baby girl Thea a string of catastrophic injuries, including three skull fractures, brain damage and bleeding behind the eyes. These were consistent with the baby being violently shaken and repeatedly hit off a hard floor, wall or furniture.

In a sick cover-up bid, Blain said she had woken up from a nap to find her daughter stricken on the floor – and went on to claim another child also in the flat had “done” whatever happened to Thea. The lies were branded “nonsense” by prosecutors earlier this week.

Shortly after Blain killed her daughter in July 2023, she went on to post a series of sickening videos on her TikTok. Blain spoke about her loss, at one point describing it as “an unexpected tragedy” while struggling to compose herself on camera, as she tried to convince others of her innocence.

She said: “This is an unexpected tragedy that’s happened… I can’t even talk, I need to pause. I’ve tried to record this many times and I just don’t know what to say. Nothing in the world is going to bring my baby back.”

In the video filmed from hospital, she told followers she was “in the right place getting the support” she needed.

The attention seeking mum also shared footage of her newborn daughter, Thea, including a clip of her feeding the baby. Alongside the post, she wrote: “Found this in my drafts,” followed by three broken-heart emojis, with the song “Area Codes” playing in the background.

In another emotional post, she said: “Nobody deserves the f***ing s*** I’ve been through. Losing my wee lassie is the worst thing I’ve ever went through in my life. I really don’t see the light at the end of this tunnel for me.”

Blain will be sentenced next month.

The evil Fees were caged for life. Following Liam’s death, a review found that child protection officials “missed opportunities” to intervene in the abuse.

Her lies began to unravel when she broke down to detectives who were interviewing her for a third time.

She told officers: “It was an accident and I panicked. I am going to go to jail?”

Adekoya admitted repeatedly punching her son and causing his body to hit against a hard object or inflicting blunt injuries on his head and body. She admitted wrapping Mikaeel’s body in a duvet cover, putting it in a suitcase and driving to Dunvegan Avenue in Kirkcaldy, where she hid the case under a bush in woods behind a house.

Adekoya, who has four other children, was released from jail less than seven years into an 11-year sentence.

Triple child killer mum Theresa Riggi

Triple killer mum Theresa Riggi stabbed each of her three children eight times before their deaths in August 2010.

Twins Austin and Luke, eight, and little Cecilia, five, fought for their lives and had defensive wounds on their hands. All three siblings were found dead following the horrific incident on Slateford Road in Edinburgh following a reported gas explosion.

After killing her children, Riggi was badly injured after creating the explosion and jumping from the second floor balcony of the property. She broke her pelvis but might have been killed had a neighbour not attempted to catch her, breaking her fall.

California-born Riggi, who was initially charged with murder, admitted culpable homicide on the grounds of diminished responsibility in March 2011. She was found dead at a high security hospital in March 2014.
