Rail passengers to Edinburgh are experiencing disruption after a signalling fault resulted in trains to the Scottish capital being cancelled.
Trains between Edinburgh and Glasgow via Airdrie have been cancelled due to a signalling fault around Bathgate.
The disruption took place on the evening of Sunday, May 11 with services from Edinburgh to Helensburgh via Glasgow Queen Street being cancelled.

ScotRail said a shuttle bus service between Airdrie and Bathgate has been requested. Network Rail Scotland said trains between Edinburgh and Glasgow Queen Street via Airdrie may be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 30 minutes, reports Glasgow Live.
Trains from Queen Street to Edinburgh Waverley via Falkirk High are operating as normal. A spokesperson for ScotRail said: “We’ve been advised by @NetworkRailSCOT of a signalling issue in the Bathgate area which is disrupting trains that run between Edinburgh and Glasgow Queen Street via Airdrie.
“We’ll keep you updated. We’ve requested one bus for Airdrie and one bus for Bathgate to provide a shuttle bus service between these stations, but these haven’t been confirmed as of now.
“Our Glasgow Queen St to Edinburgh Waverley via Falkirk High services are operating as normal for passengers wishing to travel between the two cities.”
