A family swapped their East London terrace for a derelict £1m Georgian mansion in the Kent countryside. Ben Charles Edwards and husband Sam are restoring the 11,000 sq ft former care home room-by-room after discovering hidden staircases and tonnes of rubbish inside. The couple say the mouldy property could take decades and “hundreds of thousands” of pounds to bring back to life.
