AtkinsRéalis, Jacobs, Mott MacDonald and Pell Frischmann Consultants have been selected by Birmingham City Council as suppliers for the Transportation and Infrastructure Professional Services Framework Agreement.

The contract is valued at £200M (£240M including VAT) and is estimated to run for eight years, from 1 June 2026 to 31 May 2034.

Other local public bodies based within the West Midlands and surrounding regions are also entitled to use the Framework Agreement, subject to approval by Birmingham City Council.

The work will include:

  • Drainage and surface works
  • Street-lighting maintenance
  • Traffic control services
  • Architectural, engineering and planning
  • Highways engineering
  • Infrastructure works (consultancy)
  • Structural engineering (consultancy)
  • Engineering design
  • Archaeological services
  • Urban planning
  • Air quality management

A total of eight tenders were received.
