Campaigners hoping to create a greenway on a former railway line linking Pudsey to Tyersal are inviting residents to their annual general meeting and campaign update.

The AGM of the Greenside Greenway will be held on Tuesday, 12 May from 7.30pm at The Royal Hotel, Station Street.

As well as receiving reports about activities over the last year, Graeme Bromley will talk about the ‘History of the Railway Line Through Pudsey’.

The aim of Greenside Greenway group is to have a greenway route utilising Greenside Tunnel and Tyersal Embankment, enabling walkers, cyclists and horse riders to enjoy a traffic free route on the old railway line.

On Saturday, 16 May, trains will be back in Pudsey again. A model railway will feature on the Greenside Greenway stall at Pudsey Carnival.
