Mauron Musy and Arturo Tedeschi Extend the ARCHITECT Series
Coinciding with Watches and Wonders, the premier event in watchmaking, Mauron Musy and Arturo Tedeschi continue the trajectory initiated with the MU05-106 ARCHITECT, presenting two refined evolutions of the original timepiece. While the concept progresses, its core principles remain unchanged: the ambition to create a no-compromise technical watch that is both radically innovative and truly outstanding.
To achieve this, the project once again integrates generative modeling, generative AI, and advanced manufacturing. This new chapter introduces an additional layer of complexity through exceptional materials, gold and meteorite, giving rise to two distinct interpretations: Architect of Golden Cosmos MU05-109 and Architect of Golden Oasis MU05-110. ‘I wanted to confront geometric forms with materials that precede architecture and design itself, on Earth and beyond. OASIS and COSMOS arise from opposite origins, yet they speak the same architectural language: structure,’ says Arturo Tedeschi.

Gold and Meteorite Reframe the ARCHITECT’s Geometric design
The Architect was originally conceived as a celebration of geometry and design methods: a rigorously designed object where form was the absolute protagonist. In this evolution, the geometry remains unchanged, while the relationship with matter is transformed. Gold and meteorite are not simply rare materials; they are carriers of time, energy, and memory, belonging to a dimension that predates humanity, technique, and even design itself. Here lies the key idea: a highly controlled, rational form, engineered to micron-level precision, meets materials that are irregular, unpredictable. ‘CNC machining becomes a philosophical gesture rather than a purely technical one: it does not dominate matter, it guides it. It does not tame it, it interprets it,’ shares designer Arturo Tedeschi.
In this new interpretation, color is no longer an aesthetic choice, but a direct consequence of matter itself. The warm density of gold and the dark, irregular tones of meteorite are not applied or controlled; they emerge from their origin, structure, and interaction with time. At the core of the ARCHITECT lies its mechanical foundation, reflecting the same rigor as its architectural expression. The timepiece is powered by the MM01 caliber, introduced in 2019 as a key milestone for Mauron Musy: a fully in-house movement designed, manufactured, and assembled entirely in Switzerland. It embodies the brand’s philosophy of visible structure, mechanical integrity, and purpose-driven design.
This approach extends to the case itself. Mauron Musy is the only watch manufacturer in the world to use a fully mechanical water-resistance system without gaskets, glue, or screws. Its patented nO Ring® technology replaces traditional seals with 36 high-precision components, ensuring water resistance up to 300 meters while eliminating maintenance linked to material aging.
