West Midlands local elections 2026 live as Reform dominate in Dudley and Labour lose control in Tamworth

It’s going to be a busy – and long – day across the West Midlands, with results coming in at different times, right up to this evening.

Some councils are already declaring their results, like Dudley, Redditch and Tamworth.

But in others, counting won’t start till later.

The big one as far as our region is concerned, Birmingham City Council, won’t be declared until 6pm at the earliest, and it could be later than that.

Other results in places like Sandwell, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Nuneaton and Bedworth will begin to trickle in this afternoon.
