Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank just announced that they’re expecting their third child, happy news that comes amid an extremely chaotic time for the royals due to ex-Prince Andrew (Eugenie’s dad) being arrested and effectively exiled from the royal family.

And while Eugenie and her sister, Princess Beatrice, are still on good-ish terms with the royals, the upcoming christening for her baby could be awkward thanks. Basically, if Andrew shows up, Prince William will refuse to attend, which will make things complicated for Prince Charles. It’s a whole thing!

King Charles is said to be “delighted” by his niece’s news, but “William will not be in the same room as Andrew. Not for this, not for anything. If Andrew is there, William won’t be. It’s that clear.”

However, Wills might not have much to worry about, because a source told the Daily Mail that Eugenie has effectively cut her dad off. “There is no contact at all, nothing. It’s Brooklyn Beckham level, she has completely cut him off,” they said, adding that “Beatrice is trying to walk the fine line of not cutting her father off and yet remaining close with the Royal Family. They aren’t exactly in regular and close contact at the moment, but Eugenie isn’t trying to walk that line. She’s not speaking to him.”

Meanwhile, Eugenie’s mom Sarah Ferguson might not attend because “She’s extremely cautious about returning right now. There are concerns about potential legal exposure, and she’s not taking risks.”
