The vote count is in full swing across the city, as residents anxiously await the results of the local elections 2026 – with numerous wards’ results already having been revealed.

As it stands at 3.21pm on May 8, Reform currently holds seven seats, while the Conservatives are on eight, the Green Party are on five, as are Labour, Independent has five seats, the Lib Dems have three, and Labour and the Co-operative Party hold one seat.

There are 101 seats up for grabs – with more results continuing to flood through this afternoon.
