A motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital following a serious crash near Bolton.
Emergency services descended on Albert Road, in Farnworth, shortly after 5pm on Sunday evening (May 12).
Greater Manchester Police believes a man on a motorbike collided with infrastructure on the road.
The man, aged 29, received serious injuries following the collision. He was taken to hospital from the scene.
Officers closed off Albert Road late into Sunday night while an investigation took place.

A large cordon was in place close to the Lidl supermarket, while an air ambulance was also seen landing close to the scene.
Witnesses are now being urged to come forward with information as enquiries continue.
A GMP spokesperson added: “GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
“They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
