A mental health charity says it plans to build a new wellbeing centre after raising more than £2m to expand free support for young people.

The Surrey-based Lucy Rayner Foundation, which has not yet submitted an planning application, says the site off Killick Road in Horley would offer counselling, support groups and education programmes.

Jenny Rayner, CEO of the charity, said: “Reaching this milestone means we can go further. This centre will be a place where young people feel safe, heard and supported. We believe it will save lives.”

Rayner started the foundation in 2012 after her daughter took her own life.
