Corinne Bailey Rae will appear at Chester Storyhouse on May 16 at 2pm to talk about her debut children’s book, inspired by her hit Put Your Records On.
The event is part of a collaboration between independent bookshops Booka and Linghams.
Tickets are priced at £20 for entry for two people and a copy of the book, with an additional single ticket with book available for £12.
The first 50 tickets booked will also have a meet and greet opportunity with a photo with Corinne.
The picture book tells the story of Bea, a young girl who visits her great aunt Portia and discovers an attic filled with old records.
Together, they listen to songs that make them laugh, dance, and feel comforted in the middle of a thunderstorm.
The story ends with Bea heading home, excited to continue learning about herself and her world through music.
The event is organised by Linghams Booksellers, based in Heswall, Wirral.
The venue is located on Hunter Street, Chester, CH1 2AR.
Tickets are available through Storyhouse’s website.
