New Zealand international Tyler Bindon appears to have played his last game for English Championship club Sheffield United.

Bindon (21) has farewelled the club through social media after completing his loan spell and expected return to English Premier League side Nottingham Forest, where he has a contract till June 2028.

“It has been a pleasure to call myself a Blade this season,” Bindon posted on Instagram.

“I want to thank all the fans, players, and staff for making me feel so welcome from day one.

“I wish everyone connected with the club all the very best for the future. Thank you for everything.”

In March, United manager Chris Wilder indicated he was keen for Bindon to stay when his season-long loan ended.

“He’s somebody that we would openly be interested in talking to. I’d like to think that he’s enjoyed his period (at United),” Wilder told The Star.

Bindon played 26 games for United in all competitions, but missed the club’s last two fixtures because of an ankle injury.

Whether Forest choose to loan him out again next season may depend on whether they remain in the EPL or drop to the Championship.

Bindon, who has 23 caps for New Zealand, is expected to be in the All Whites squad selected for the FIFA Men’s World Cup.
