Introduction to Volunteering is a short course is for anyone considering working in the voluntary sector and will provide them with the opportunity to develop new skills, explore new interests while generating a sense of achievement.

The course will cover: Benefits of volunteering; First Aid awareness; Safeguarding; How to find volunteer opportunities; Confidentiality; Equality and Diversity; and Rights and responsibilities as a volunteer.

The course is being run at:

Hamara Healthy Living Centre in Beeston (LS11 6RD) on Tuesdays, 9:30am-12pm, from 12 May – 16 June

BITMO’s GATE in Belle Isle (LS10 3QH) on Thursdays, 12-2:30pm, from 14 May – 25 June (no session on 28 May).

Please bring ID and any benefits information to the first session to enroll.
