Bristol Technology Festival is relaunching as Brazen, positioning itself as a national platform for technology, creativity and culture.

The event, which has evolved from a focused tech gathering when it launched six years ago, will take place across Bristol over five days in late 2026. It will span institutions, neighbourhoods and grassroots spaces across the city.

In its most recent edition, the festival attracted 6,300 attendees across 100 events, generating £883,000 in total social value and achieving a reach of 4.6 million.

Ben Shorrock, chief executive of techSPARK, said: “Brazen is the next evolution of everything Bristol Technology Festival and BTF+ set out to be. We’ve seen first-hand the power of bringing technology, creativity and culture into the same space, and Brazen gives us the confidence, scale and ambition to take that story beyond the city.”

Bristol Business Improvement District has signed on as a strategic partner for the next three years. Bristol BID is a business-led partnership working to make the city centre safer, greener, cleaner and more welcoming.

Steve Bluff, chief operating officer at Bristol BID, said: “The festival will unlock new opportunities for Bristol’s businesses, strengthen pride and confidence in the city, and showcase Bristol and the wider region as one of the UK’s most exciting hubs for innovation and creativity.”

The festival’s programme is built around four tracks: Summit, featuring large-scale talks and debates; Community, with workshops and grassroots activity; Showcase, demonstrating applied innovation; and Live, offering performances and immersive experiences.

Brazen has previously worked with organisations including Accenture, Amazon Web Services, Barclays, Deloitte, Dyson, EY, Meta, Sony and NatWest, as well as universities, public bodies and regional businesses.

The festival is delivered on a not-for-profit basis, with surplus reinvested into growing its reach and quality. Further announcements on programming, speakers and tickets will be made later this year.
