A DRIVER has been charged after a car ploughed into a house in a horror two-vehicle crash in a Scottish town.

Emergency crews raced to the scene on Lumloch Drive in Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire, at around 3.25pm this afternoon.

The alarm was raised after officers received reports of a crash involving two motors which resulted in damage to a building.

Luckily, no one was injured as a result of the incident, however, one driver has been charged in connection with a road traffic offence.

Photos from the scene show a dark blue motor smashed into the side of a property.

The front of the home appeared to have suffered some damage, with large cracks showing in the brickwork leading to the window.

There were also large cracks in a section of the wall under the window to the ground.

Some bricks also appeared to look visibly loose, as big gaps appeared in the mortar along the side of the wall where the car hit.

The motor was also badly damaged in the collision.

Red and white caution tape was seen erected around the home as emergency services descended on the street.

Several fire engines were seen parked near the home alongside several police cars.

Many officers and firefighters were seen on foot in the area, standing around the crash site.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.25pm on Monday, 11 May, 2026, police received a report of a two-vehicle crash on Lumloch Drive, Bishopbriggs, which resulted in damage to a building.

“There were no injuries reported and recovery was arranged.

“One driver has been charged in connection with a road traffic offence.”
