As the Birmingham bin strikes enter their eleventh week, residents are having to queue to use a Birmingham City Council household recycling centre in Perry Barr. The strikes show no sign of stopping as striking bin workers have received backing from the leaders of Aslef and the National Education Union (NEU) at a collective action ‘megapicket’ outside a depot and recycling centre last week.
