Liverpool and Everton could battle it out for West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen, who could be available for less than £60million. Speculation over the Hammers star’s future is building as he battles for survival from Premier League relegation.
The Reds have been linked with Bowen on more than one occasion and are in need of a successor to Mohamed Salah, who departs at the end of the season. Everton boss David Moyes was in charge of the Irons when they signed Bowen from Hull City for £22m.
The England international could be available even if West Ham avoid relegation, according to the Daily Mail. Liverpool and Everton are set to face competition from Newcastle United this summer for the attacker’s signature.

The Magpies are also keen to reinforce their attacking options, with Eddie Howe said to be a fan of the player. Newcastle are braced for the sale of former Everton star, and Liverpool target, Anthony Gordon.
Prospective suitors believe they can prise Bowen away from the London stadium for less than £60m, despite his position as the club’s talisman. Bowen has been the Irons’ top scorer for four of the last five years and captain for the last two.

Former Liverpool and West Ham defender Glen Johnson believes that Bowen can cement himself as a Hammers icon if he remains at the club once again.
“I think so, yeah. He’s had links to other clubs, potentially bigger clubs and stuff like that, and this has never happened.
“For whatever reason, he didn’t want it or the club didn’t want it enough. So I think he’s got a chance to stay there, become a club legend.”

Johnson also claims that Bowen’s relationship with Danni Dyer, daughter of actor and major Irons supporter Danny Dyer could play a role.
“They’re a big West Ham family [the Dyers], which is obviously lovely,” he said. “So for the sake of leaving for potentially the worst two or three years of your career somewhere else and lose that, to me, I’d rather stay.”
West Ham currently sit in the relegation zone alongside the already relegated Burnley and Wolves. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are two points behind Tottenham with two matches remaining this season.
Despite the east London team’s struggles, Bowen has still recorded eight goals and 10 assists in the Premier League this term.
