West Midlands Police have issued an image of three men they wish to trace after a boy was the victim of an ‘attempted robbery.’

The victim was travelling on the number 35 bus in Kings Norton when he was rapproached by three men who reportedly demanded money off him.

He managed to get off the bus unharmed while the men stayed on board and carried on with their journey.

The incident happened near to the stop on Shannon Road, at around 7.45pm on 25 February.

Police have released a CCTV image of three males they would like to speak to and urge anyone who knows them to contact them.

WMP said: “Do you recognise these three men?

“We would like to speak to them in connection with an attempted robbery on a bus. “A boy was travelling on the number 35 bus, travelling from Kings Norton, near the stop on Shannon Road, at around 7.45pm on 25 February when he was approached by a group who demanded money from him.

“He was able to get off the bus unharmed while the group continued their journey. “If you recognise the men call us on 101 quoting crime number 20/161566/26.

“Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 55511.”
