St. John’s in Manchester launches its new Weekender event, bringing together live music, markets, food, culture and community celebrations across the estate.
A major highlight of the weekend is the return of the Triumph Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride on Sunday 17 May. Taking place for the second year at St. John’s, the global charity motorcycle ride raises awareness and funds for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health. Riders in tailored suits and vintage-inspired fashion will travel through Manchester before arriving back at St. John’s for post-ride celebrations at The Trading Route.
Live entertainment will run from 12pm to 2.30pm, with country, blues and rock performances welcoming riders and visitors alike.
Saturday’s programme includes independent street markets hosted by GRUB across Campfield and Grape Street. Visitors can expect street food, craft traders, local producers and live entertainment in a festival-style setting.
Across the weekend, venues throughout St. John’s will host a packed cultural line-up, including live music at Mollie’s Studio 4 and Fenix, plus performances at Aviva Studios featuring Tricky and other live acts.
The Weekender is free to attend and aims to celebrate Manchester’s creative, independent and community spirit.
