NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut women’s lacrosse standout Caelan Connors earned 2026 USA Lacrosse Magazine Division II All-American Honorable Mention, as announced by USA Lacrosse Magazine, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Connors is the first Owl in program history to earn an USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American Honorable Mention.
All-Americans and honorable mentions were selected by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff with input from coaches and conferences across the country.
Caelan Connors had a remarkable season with the Owls in 2026. Connors was named NE10 Goalkeeper of the Year, as she was the first player in program history to be named NE10 Goalie of the Year. In addition, she was named to the All-NE10 First Team, and alongside, Vail, became the first players in program history to be named to the All-NE10 First Team. She helped Southern have their best season in program history, host their first NE10 postseason game at Jess Dow Field and their first NCAA Tournament berth in program history.
Connors was ranked in the top 20 in all of Division II in saves percentage. In addition, she led the NE10 in saves percentage for multiple weeks and was consistently ranked in the top five in the NE10 in goals against average and saves per game. Connors tied the second-most saves in an NE10 game this season, with 17 saves against Pace. She won a career-best of 11 games, with only six losses for the season. Connors picked up a career-best of 20 ground balls and caused five turnovers for the Owls. She recorded a total of 581 saves in her career and is ranked second all-time in saves in program history.
