A 19-year-old male has been charged in connection with a child sex offence investigation involving 27 victims across the UK.
The probe was launched by Cheshire Police’s Online Child Abuse Investigation Team. Thomas Avery, 19, of no fixed abode in Manchester, has been charged with 36 offences.
The offences include causing a child to engage in penetrative sexual activity, making indecent images of children, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and threatening to share intimate photographs or films, Cheshire Police said.

The charges relate to an investigation into offences which happened between October 2024 and April 2025. It involves 27 victims across the UK, police added in a statement.
Avery, previously of Wilmslow, has been bailed. He is next set to appear at Crewe Magistrates’ Court on July 7.
