A park-view apartment, a seaside villa, and a charming cottage are among the most sought-after homes on the market in Scotland. Top property portal ESPC promotes homes for sale in the east of the country, focusing on Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife, and the Borders.

And the firm has crunched the numbers on the most popular properties in their area for April, picking out the 10 homes that drew the most attention from househunters.

While a spacious flat with stunning park views came out top of the pile, the list was dominated by houses. According to ESPC, this trend – which follows on from similar results in March – shows people are prioritising “long-term security and flexibility.”

Family homes, outdoor spaces, and lifestyle-led locations are all key features of the most in-demand properties across east Scotland. There is, however, variety throughout the list, with a mix of city, countryside, and coastal spots included.

The top 10 garnered more than 80,000 views on ESPC’s website during April. And beyond online clicks, househunters are making serious moves in the market, with five of the prized properties currently under offer.
