The budget airline easyJet has announced another new route from south-west France – this time connecting to Italy with an eye to weekend breaks.
The UK-based budget airline has announced several new routes from Bordeaux-Merignac airport over the last year – filling the gap left when fellow budget airline Ryanair departed.
Now it has announced another one – connecting to Naples.
The route to Naples-Capodichino is set to begin on December 4th and will operate two flights a week – on Mondays and Fridays, targeting short breaks and weekend getaways, reports Air Journal.
According to information shared by Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport, flights will depart on Mondays at 8.10 pm, arriving in Naples at 10.20 pm.
On Fridays, they will depart from the Gironde capital at 9.50 am, arriving in Naples at midday.
For the return journey, departures from Naples are scheduled for Monday at 5.15 pm, with arrival in Bordeaux at 7.40 pm, and Friday at 6.55 am, with arrival at 9.20 am.
Tickets are on sale now via easyJet, with flights advertised as “from €35”.
Ryanair axed flights from Bordeaux airport in 2024 following a dispute over fees. It has since announced its departure from several other French regional airports, citing France’s ‘eco tax’ on plane tickets, although it later reinstated flights to Dordogne Périgueux.
